How to Disable USB ports on Windows via Registry

USB ports on your computer are useful for you but they are vulnerable too. If you want to prevent anyone from copying your data through USB ports and or to stop them spreading viruses through USB then you should Disable USB ports.

Note: If you are using USB mouse or USB keyboard then this will disable them also. So If you are using any of the USB connected devices then this will disable them also.

How to Disable USB ports :

1. Click on start and type Run or Directly press Windows Key + R to open Run.

2. Type Regedit and hit enter. It will launch a Registry editor.

3. Now simply navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\usbstor.

4. Double Click on Start and in the Value data box enter 4 and click on Ok.

5. Close the Registry editor and you will see the USB ports are disabled.

6. If you want to re-enable the USB ports then enter 3 in the Value Data box in step 5.

This will make your PC invulnerable from data theft and malware which usually spread from the USB ports. This works on Windows XP, Windows 7 and Wndows 8.

First open Pen drive. Then press Windows + R and type CMD and hit Enter. Then type Location of your Pen drive for e.g. F:\ or J:\  . You can find it just by clicking once on the address bar [Remember first open pen drive location then click and copy].

After that copy that address and paste in cmd and hit enter. 

Then type  attrib -r -a -s -h *.*  in CMD and hit Enter. This will unhide every file and folder from Pen drive. Then find any autorun.inf file there.Once you got that remove it(Shift + Delete). And now you are ready to remove that nasty virus and other infected files. Enjoy!

Google it and then download it. After downloading install cc cleaner and then open it, now go to Registry > scan for issues > Fix all selected issues.

Disk defragmentation

As per Microsoft,

Fragmentation happens to a hard disk over time as you save, change, or delete files. The changes that you save to a file are often stored at a location on the hard disk that's different from the original file. Additional changes are saved to even more locations. Over time, both the file and the hard disk itself become fragmented, and your computer slows down as it has to look in many different places to open a file.

 Open my computers then select any drive which you want to defragment and right click on it. Then go to properties and then tools. There you will see defragment now and windows will start defragmenting that drive.

Drivers.

If you haven't upgraded your computers drivers then you are missing something. Because companies introduces new versions of drivers for you and you have to install it in order to improve your computers speed.

Junk softwares.

If you had so many programs installed then your pc will definitely becomes slow. Remove all unnecessary or junk softwares from your computer.
